4th Sheep

After you've recruited Yuzu you can return to the forest to find yet another sheep there.

However, that's only if you didn't open the first chest in the forest. Because the sheep shares the same memory adress as the chest, if you get one you lose the other.

Annalee's Song

When you recruit Annalee she will sing a song for you, if you're playing the american version you won't hear it though. Just silence.

This was fixed in the PAL version.

Versions: NTSC UC

Farm Glitch

If you give Tony and/or Yuzu more than one crop/animal at a time only one will appear and the other be lost. Well actually, the restaurant will still count them, you just won't be able to see them.

Matilda Gate

The story of Suikoden II was drastically changed at some point during it's production, for instance the Matilda events came much earlier and to fit the new story the border was closed.

However, the Gate works like a boulder or crate and can simply be pushed out of the way granting you access to the Matilda region a lot earlier than you're supposed to. You can recruit Humphrey and Futch, if you have Wakaba you can get L.C.Chan here instead of Crom as well as do some insane leveling in the earliest part of the game.

This was corrected in the PSP bundle of Suikoden I & II, putting the final nail in the coffin for all the nitwits that insist it's an intentional secret.

McDohl

Suikoden II allows you to load data from Suikoden and if you do so you will gain access to the Hero from the first game, unfortunatly for those playing the american version the name won't transfer properly.

Only capital letters and anything after 6th digit will carry over.

This was fixed in the PAL version.

Recipe #34

Many people never manage to get this recipe, despite spending hours hunting for it.

The reason is quite simple; Recipe #34 shares the same memory adress as Recipe #12, so if you've already given #12 to Hai Yo the game won't allow #34 to drop and vice versa.

To get around it simply don't give Recipe #12 or #34 to Hai Yo until you've gotten them both.

Toran Castle

If you loaded data from the first game you should see some references to the castle by whatever you named it in the second game. Unless you're playing the american version of course, then you'll be stuck with the first letter of whatever you named it followed by "ora", e.g. if you named it Toran it will be Tora, if you named it White it will be Wora. Yes, without the n.

This was fixed in the PAL version.

Versions: NTSC UC

War

In some of the major battles the music will disappear, again if you're playing the American version.
